Welcome to Findlay Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Niederkohr and Staff welcome you to our office for Pediatric Dentistry. We are here to provide your children with oral care so everyone has a healthy and happy smile. If we may ever be of assistance to you to answer questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
As part of our oral health care we need you and your children to be great brushers and flosses on a daily basis. The diet of each child also plays a large part so each visit can be a cavity free one.

Our Dental Services
Smile... It raises your face value!

Dental Cleanings
Cleanings should be performed every six months to prevent excessive plaque buildup.

Fluoride Treatments
Fluoride supports healthy tooth enamel and fights the bacteria that harm teeth and gums.

Dental X-Rays
This can help your dentist to identify problems, like cavities, tooth decay, and impacted teeth.

White Fillings & Crowns
White fillings just look more natural than silver fillings, and are much safer than their silver counterparts.

Pulpotomy
It is mainly performed on primary teeth (on children) and is used to treat tooth decay that has extended to the pulp.

Dental Sealants
Sealants protect these vulnerable areas from tooth decay by ``sealing out`` plaque and food.

Tongue Ties
The decision to treat a tongue-tie often comes down to the severity.

Emergency & Dental Trauma Care
We will check for loose fillings and crowns as well as signs of decay, infection, and gum disease.

Why we are the best? FAQ’s
The journey of a thousand (S)miles begins with one step!
When should I bring my child in for his/ her first dental visit?
To jumpstart good oral care we recommend bringing your child in when they have their first tooth at age 6-9 months.
Is thumbsucking harmful to my child?
Thumbsucking and pacifier habits that go on for a longtime can create crowding, crooked teeth and bite problems. If the habits continue when adult teeth are present an appliance can be fabricated to help stop them.
If my child has a cavity on their baby tooth should I get it fixed?
Yes, baby teeth are vital for chewing, talking, and holding the space for the permanent teeth to come in. If decay goes untreated on a baby tooth it can cause decay on the permanent teeth as well.
When should my child start using toothpaste?
Children under age 3 should use a pea sized amount of fluoride free toothpaste. Kids can start using regular toothpaste when they are able to spit out all excess toothpaste.
